☆Our work details☆
【Engine related】
Since this vehicle was in good base condition, we did not perform unnecessary disassembly and maintenance. Instead, we focused on maintaining the engine’s condition and improving its reliability by performing inspections, adjustments, and refreshing of age-related deterioration parts, while making the most of its current state.
The engine compartment and exhaust muffler were deep cleaned and polished, ensuring both the condition of the engine and its aesthetics. Inside the engine, all valve rocker shafts and rocker arms were removed for inspection, cleaning, and oil leak prevention. Furthermore, valve clearance, exhaust gas, and idling speed adjustments were performed to maintain the original smooth rotation feel and stable engine condition.

In addition, to address oil leaks due to aging, a common issue in air-cooled Porsches, the valve cover gasket set was replaced. The oil level sensor was also replaced with a new one to improve the reliability of oil management. The intake system’s intake air pipe was replaced, and the ignition system’s spark plugs were replaced to ensure stable combustion performance.

The fuel system’s fuel center line was replaced to refresh the fuel supply system. Furthermore, the oil hoses between the thermostat housing and the oil tank, and between the thermostat housing and the engine, were replaced to reduce the risk of deterioration and problems due to aging.

By leveraging the excellent base condition and applying appropriate maintenance, this car has been finished to allow you to enjoy the original feel of an air-cooled Porsche with peace of mind for a long time.

[Suspension Related]
To maintain a sense of security and precise handling while driving, the suspension system, including the brakes and steering components, has been refreshed. First, the wheel wells, suspension, and various arms were deep cleaned to thoroughly check the condition of areas that are usually difficult to inspect. This is an important process that not only improves the appearance but also checks the overall condition of the suspension.

Regarding the brakes, the front and rear brake pads and handbrake shoes were replaced, and the front and rear brake hoses and brake fluid were also refreshed, improving not only braking power but also brake feel and operation.

For the steering and suspension, the tie rod ends, left and right steering rack boots, and rear stabilizer bushings were replaced. By addressing the parts that support responsiveness to steering input, straight-line stability, and a sense of unity during cornering, the vehicle has been restored to a state where the light and direct handling characteristic of air-cooled Porsches is maintained.

Rather than flashy customizations, we focus on solid, consistent refreshes to maintain the vehicle’s original performance for the long term, resulting in a suspension system that can be enjoyed with confidence from city driving to highway cruising.

For the exterior, we don’t simply repaint, but prioritize “restoring the texture it should have originally had.” We carefully and appropriately refresh the entire body condition, meticulously assessing its condition.
First, we thoroughly deep clean the body inner panels and under panels, checking the condition of even the parts that are not normally visible. Furthermore, while examining the condition of the original paint film, we removed any areas showing deterioration or poor adhesion, repaired scratches and dents on the body, ensured smoothness and adhesion through primer sanding, and performed surface preparation for paint fixation. After preparing the base, we carried out a full body repaint.

By carefully building upon these base preparation steps, the surface finish and lines after painting are stable, resulting in a beautiful appearance reminiscent of a new car.

In addition, various auxiliary parts were repainted in flat black, and the wheels were also repainted to enhance the overall texture and uniformity of the vehicle.

For lighting, in addition to replacing the license plate lamp, the headlights were disassembled, cleaned, and the gaskets replaced. Furthermore, the front windshield glass seal was replaced to maintain the aesthetic appearance and to prevent rainwater intrusion and age-related deterioration.

In addition, a wide range of small parts were replaced, including the front hood emblem, front and rear hood dampers, rear hood catch lock, roof side guide rails, and various weatherstrips and seals. By paying attention to even the parts that are usually not noticeable, we have not only enhanced the visual beauty but also improved the feel of the opening and closing mechanisms and the functionality of each part.

The exterior is a crucial part that determines the first impression of a vehicle. This vehicle boasts not only the beauty of the body itself, but also a meticulous refresh of the moldings, seals, and lights, resulting in a finish that allows you to once again appreciate the inherent beauty and style of a classic Porsche.

This vehicle has undergone a complete cabin refresh, focusing on improving the feel and comfort you experience the moment you get in.
First, the entire interior was thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt and wear accumulated over years of use. Then, the steering wheel skin, left and right seat skins, shift knob, and floor mats were replaced. By refreshing the areas the driver touches daily, we’ve created a clean and high-quality interior while maintaining the original atmosphere of an air-cooled Porsche.

The instrument cluster has also been improved, with the fuel gauge glass replaced and the tachometer cleaned to enhance visibility and aesthetics. Refreshing the instruments that are constantly in the driver’s line of sight tightens the overall impression of the cockpit.

Furthermore, we replaced small functional parts such as the seat slide rail bushings, pedal rubber pads, door catch strikers, and door contact switch rubbers. We also addressed the interior mirrors, various trims, lights, and switch knobs, paying attention not only to the appearance but also to the feel and operation during everyday use.

In addition, we refreshed the front and rear speaker components and brackets, comprehensively improving the condition of the interior environment. This isn’t just a simple cleaning or superficial touch-up; we’ve created an interior that balances comfort, functionality, and quality while preserving the original atmosphere of an air-cooled Porsche.

[Electrical System Related]
This vehicle has undergone a refresh focusing on the air conditioning system, which is particularly directly related to comfort.
For the air conditioning system, a total cleaning of the A/C line was performed, followed by the replacement of the condenser blower motor, receiver tank, evaporator, and expansion valve. We completely revamped the air conditioning system by replacing its main components.

In addition to the blower motor relay involved in the air conditioning system, we also replaced the defogger relay used to remove fog and frost from the rear window and door mirrors. While these parts are not normally visible, proactively refreshing these electrical components, which are prone to malfunction in older vehicles, improves reliability.

Precisely because these parts are not easily visible, they are crucial for comfort and peace of mind. To ensure you can enjoy your air-cooled Porsche with peace of mind for many years to come, we have addressed everything from the air conditioning system to the power supply and control systems.
