☆Our work details☆
【Engine related】
This vehicle has undergone a full engine overhaul. The entire process, from disassembly, cleaning, measurement, processing, and assembly, was carried out using appropriate procedures to bring out the performance inherent in an air-cooled Porsche.
After disassembly, major components such as the cylinder head, camshaft housing, pistons, and cylinders were carefully cleaned using wet blasting. Measurements and inspections were performed on each part, including timing chain alignment check and adjustment, valve timing adjustment, exhaust gas and idling adjustment.

In particular, with this vehicle, we spent ample time meticulously measuring and cleaning each part, carefully checking the internal condition of each component. This work was carried out under numerical control to ensure overall optimal condition.

The cylinder head underwent a complete replacement of all exhaust valve guides, as well as valve seat cutting and valve lapping. Furthermore, the intermediate shaft bearings, 993-type reinforced head stud bolts, piston rings, and oil return tubes were replaced, taking into account the weaknesses and potential future trouble points specific to air-cooled Porsches.

The ignition system included a completely new distributor belt, caps, rotors, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. The oil cooler, oil hoses, and breather hoses were also extensively replaced, refreshing the oil lines. The fuel system was also completely overhauled, with all fuel lines and pressure regulators replaced from the body to the engine compartment.

Not only is the aesthetic appeal evident when the engine hood is opened, but every detail, including the internal components, has been meticulously considered, resulting in a vehicle that perfectly balances the original feel and reliability of an air-cooled Porsche.

[Suspension Related]
This vehicle has undergone a refresh of various suspension components to improve driving stability and steering feel. Not only were wear parts replaced, but deep cleaning was performed on the wheel wells, suspension, and various arms, carefully checking the overall condition of the undercarriage.
Four-wheel alignment adjustment was performed to optimize the suspension condition. This refined straight-line stability and handling feel, bringing out the direct driving sensation characteristic of air-cooled Porsches.
The steering system was refreshed by replacing the power steering fluid container and hoses in the engine room. Furthermore, by replacing the front lower control arm bushings, stabilizer drop links, tie rod ends, and steering rack boots, we addressed the wear and tear caused by aging. We’ve ensured a firm response to steering inputs and a strong sense of road contact.

Regarding the brakes, we replaced the front and rear brake hoses and refreshed the brake fluid. This also contributes to improved braking feel and a greater sense of security.

By meticulously working on even the unseen parts, we’ve enhanced the sense of unity and confidence you feel the moment you start driving, resulting in a suspension system that allows you to fully enjoy the nimble driving feel inherent in classic Porsches.

[Exterior Related]
The exterior is not simply repainted; the focus is on “restoring the original texture,” and the entire exterior is refreshed with the intention of resetting it.
First, a thorough deep cleaning was performed on the body inner and under panels. Furthermore, the original paint film condition was inspected, and areas showing deterioration or poor adhesion were removed. Scratches and dents on the body were repaired, and surface preparation was performed to ensure smoothness and adhesion through primer sanding. A thorough surface preparation process was then carried out before the full repaint. This meticulous accumulation of surface preparation ensures a stable surface finish and defined lines after painting, accurately reproducing the distinctive shadows and tension of the 964’s body lines.

In addition, auxiliary parts were refinished in flat black, and the wheels were painted similarly to enhance the overall unified look of the exterior.

The lights were replaced, including the left and right side marker lamps, left rear combination lamp, and license plate lamp, improving both the freshness of the appearance and visibility. Furthermore, the front windshield glass was replaced, and the glass seals on the front and rear windshields were also renewed, ensuring not only aesthetic appeal but also airtightness and durability.

In addition, the front and rear license plate brackets, front bumper retaining straps, front and rear hood dampers, roof side guide rails, and various inscriptions were all meticulously replaced. Furthermore, by meticulously working on a wide range of components, including seals, beadings, gaskets, and even the front and rear wiper blades, we’ve restored the “tightness” and “cleanliness” that tend to be lost over time.

Not only is the paintwork beautiful, but every detail, from the small rubber parts to the exterior components, has been carefully restored, resulting in a car with a strong presence that perfectly recreates the refined and taut appearance of a classic Porsche.

[Interior Related]
The interior of this vehicle underwent a total cleaning of the entire cabin, followed by a refresh focusing on key areas.
The dashboard, steering wheel, front seats, handbrake lever, and rear wallboard have all been refurbished to eliminate signs of wear and tear.

The floor mats have been replaced to enhance the overall cleanliness of the cabin. Furthermore, meticulous attention has been paid to areas that are naturally touched during entry, exit, and operation, such as the brake pedal pad, entry plate, entry molding cover trim, and door catch striker, resulting in a refined and polished feel from the moment you step inside.

The gauges have also been cleaned, with the fuel gauge’s dial and glass replaced, and the tachometer and clock’s dials also replaced. Because these are areas constantly in the driver’s field of vision, we focused not only on visibility but also on creating a pleasant atmosphere.

In addition, details such as the interior mirrors, entry plate, various trims, and speaker-related components have been reviewed to improve the overall unity and cleanliness of the interior.

By restoring the original atmosphere as much as possible, we have created a finish that allows you to comfortably enjoy the unique space of an air-cooled Porsche.

[Electrical System]
The electrical system of this vehicle has undergone a major refresh, focusing on the air conditioning system, with an emphasis on comfort and reliability. The A/C line has been completely cleaned, and the heater housing has been disassembled and cleaned to thoroughly reset dirt and deteriorated parts that have accumulated over many years. By thoroughly working on the unseen internal parts, the work also takes into account the air conditioning problems unique to air-cooled Porsches.

Regarding the air conditioning system, we replaced the receiver tank, evaporator, and expansion valve, as well as the left and right blower motors, the interior/exterior switching flap motor, and the air conditioning compressor. Furthermore, we performed an R134a retrofit, updating the air conditioning system to meet modern environmental requirements.

Regarding the controls, we replaced the climate control knob on the air conditioning control unit, completely overhauling the entire air conditioning system. In addition, we replaced electrical components prone to deterioration over time, including the alternator, three accessory belts, the fan belt sensor, the ABS relay, and the oil cooler, A/C condenser, and rear blower double relays.

By comprehensively improving the condition, including not only cooling performance and comfort, but also starting performance and power supply stability, we have created a classic Porsche that can be enjoyed comfortably in everyday driving.
